The Junior trade-in program

These trade-in programs, created in 1997, are MSO’s plan to get juniors started on the slopes and courses. We love to ski and snowboard and want all kids to have the chance to learn and enjoy these sports as well. Who knows, maybe your child will be the next Lindsey Vonn, Tanner Hall or Shaun White. The younger they get started the better and Mountain Sports Outlet is there to help.

Used Ski Equipment: (skis only; no used junior snowboards)

Each year thereafter, a $20 per item upgrade charge will apply if you choose to continue the program. Equipment can also be traded in for like-priced equipment during the same ski season at no charge until March 31.

Receive a 50% credit toward your next year’s purchase of new or used junior equipment when your equipment is returned to us the following year. Please retain your receipt to take any advantage of this credit.  A receipt is manditory!

• We’ll Get It Right
  We emphasize service, if you feel the fit is not to your liking, we will continue to trade boots and skis during the year until you are satisfied. Ski and Snowboard trades may be made from mid October to March 31st.
• Early Bird Gets Gets the Worm
  The best selection is available at the beginning of each season. Please remember the sooner you can come to Mountain Sports Outlet, the better your options for equipment should be. We search high and low to find used junior equipment so that we might ensure a sufficient amount per season. However, there can be times throughout the year when selection can be limited. Just remember, the early bird gets the worm.
• We Will Work With You
  When equipment stock runs low, we will work with you to make the best trade possible, even when that means trading for new equipment rather than used. We will do our best to arrange for a fair price.
• Bindings: Safety First
  All bindings must be tested for safety to ATSM standards, a procedure that costs $15 and takes about 30 minutes. On busy days, please be advised that we may not be able to provide this service while you wait.

Nothing has the power to make or break your day like a pair of ski or snowboard boots. Getting a proper fit may be the most critical step in putting together your ski or ride package. We are committed to making sure that your feet are happy—so committed, in fact, that if our professional boot fitters can’t fit your boots to your liking, or your feet are unhappy after five outings, we will exchange them for a new pair of equal value.

But, we do a lot of legwork (footwork, too!) to ensure perfect fit, like:
- Offering complimentary expert boot fitting with every ski purchase.
- Providing a custom foot assessment to determine which boot, from over 200 choices, is right for your specific needs and ability level.
- Working with you to make modifications until your boots fit perfectly and you are completely satisfied with the fit.
- Making adjustments, at no charge, anytime you bring your boots into the store.
